But for guitar, I get much more out of Chord Shapes. With Shapes, I know where I am, where I've been, and where I want to go. Arpeggios, Scales, and Alteration are all in the Chord Shape. Two good books: Swing To Bop-The Music of Charlie Christian by Stan Ayeroff - and - The Guitar Chord Shapes of Charlie Christian, by Joseph Weidlich.
